DESMOND HO LAI SENG (Managing Director)

• The founder of the Terra Garden Group of companies, among others, boasts the country's largest and most extensive garden center.
• Professionally trained in the fields of Architectural draftsmanship; and in Tropical horticulture, Desmond Ho has over 15 years of experience in tropical horticulture, particularly in terraria, container-gardens, designer-gardens and greenhouse designs. Recently, his designs have also been recognised overseas (especially in Japan), evident through the award of the "Good Design Award" from the Japan Industrial Design Promotion Council.

PROFESSOR SINCLAIR H. MANTELL (International Horticulture Advisor)

• An advisor to Terra Garden; he has over 30 years of experience in Tropical horticulture/agriculture/forestry, especially in areas related to GMO evaluation and bio-safety.
• Professor Sinclair is internationally recognized for his research, teaching and consultancy work for International agencies such as The British Council, International Foundation for Science, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN and for his contribution to the advancement of the tropical horticultural science, including  areas related to advanced plant propagation systems and crop biotechnology. His experience in the field of precision engineering technology for greenhouse management systems is extremely valuable for the development of our own environmentally controlled containment greenhouses.

PROFESSOR KALIDAS SHETTY (International Biotechnology Advisor)

• An advisor to Terra Garden, he has been named one of five scholars to serve as Jefferson Science Fellows, advising the U.S. State Department on scientific issues as they relate to international diplomacy.
• Professor Shetty's selection  confirms his place as one of the top scientists in his field. The opportunities for future research are as exciting as they are unlimited. Especially, with over 20 years of experience in Food Biotechnology, particularly in functional food & human health, his contribution is recognised worldwide (e.g. Mexico, Korea, India, etc.) for his contribution to the advancement of food biotechnology research and development. 

Dr. KODISWARAN KANDASAMY (Local Biotechnology Advisor)

• Dr. Kodiswaran is a plant biotechnologist with over 20 years of experience in plant tissue culture, plant pathology, genetic engineering, horticulture, and laboratory & greenhouse management. Currently, he is a Senior Scientist at FRIM (the Forest Research Institute of Malaysia).
• He was previously the R&D Manager for TropBio Research Sdn. Bhd. Prior to his return to Malaysia, he had served as a course tutor at the University of London (Wye College). He had completed a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of East London, working on a MAFF (Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Fisheries, UK) project on English Garden Roses. Dr. Kodiswaran had served as the scientific advisor to McBean's Orchid Ltd.

ABU HASSAN B ABDUL JALIL (Agronomist )

• Abu Hassan b Abdul Jalil concurrently is a private landscape practitioner and consultant through his local landscape companies, Acerscape Resources Sdn. Bhd. and Acerscape Nurseries Sdn Bhd, which includes design, construct and maintenance. He was previously the consultant for the landscape projects. Through his companies, he was appointed as project coordinator and management for landscape project.
• He seated in a supervisory committee for setting-up of a private Palm Arboretum and Cactus & Ornamental Plant Farm and an Orchid Tissue Culture Farm in Malang, East Java. He was actively involved in setting-up Bio-diesel Seedlings Nursery for Kelompok Tani Praya and also conducted horticultural activities with Manila Seedling Bank, Luzon, Philippines(2001).

HAZLAN ABD HAMID (ECONOMIST)

• En. Hazlan Abd. Hamid is an accounting and administration based professional with over 20 years of experience. Currently, he is a Finance and Administration Manager to Terra Garden Sdn. Bhd.
• He was previously the Finance Director to Aman Yakin Sdn Bhd, an asset management company; Gommann Holdings Sdn Bhd, a German base Engineering Consultant Company in bringing solid waste facilities and technology to Malaysia and ASEAN region. Earlier, he was the Head of Finance and Administrative Department for Islamic Da’awah Foundation, Malaysia (YADIM), a foundation reporting directly to the Prime Minister Department (JPM).
